Where to host your Lovable or Bolt app
Free tiers and first paid plans for putting a Lovable, Bolt.new, v0, Replit or Base44 app online. Every number is from each host's own pricing page or docs.
Quick answer
As of Oct 2026, the cheapest way to host a Lovable or Bolt app is the builder's own free address (lovable.app or bolt.host), but a custom domain there needs a paid plan ($25 a month on both). To use your own domain for $0, sync the code to GitHub and deploy it on Netlify's or Cloudflare's free plan, which both include custom domains. Vercel's free Hobby plan is for non-commercial use only, so a business app on Vercel needs Pro at $20 a month.
Hosting providers side by side
| Host | Free tier | Catch on free | First paid tier | Runs server code |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Netlify | 300 credits a month. Custom domains with SSL, functions and a database included. | Credits go fast: each production deploy costs 15 credits and each GB of bandwidth 20. With nothing else, 300 credits is 20 deploys or 15 GB. At the limit every project on the account pauses until next month. | Personal, $9 a month for 1,000 credits. Pro is $20 a month for 3,000 credits with unlimited members. | Yes (functions) |
| Vercel | Hobby: 100 GB data transfer, 1 million CDN requests and 1 million function calls a month. | Non-commercial, personal use only. Go over a limit and you wait 30 days. Can't connect repos owned by a GitHub organization. | Pro, $20 a month with $20 of usage included. Each extra developer seat is $20 a month. | Yes (functions) |
| Cloudflare Pages and Workers | Requests to static files are free and unlimited. 500 builds a month and up to 100 custom domains per project. | Server code is capped at 100,000 requests a day and 10 ms of CPU per request. Max 20,000 files and 25 MiB per file. | Workers Paid, $5 a month minimum for 10 million requests and 30 million CPU ms. | Yes (Workers) |
| GitHub Pages | Free for public repos. Sites up to 1 GB, with a soft limit of 100 GB of bandwidth a month. | Static files only. Not allowed for an online business, store or SaaS. Private repos need a paid GitHub plan. | GitHub Team, $4 per user a month for the first 12 months, for Pages on private repos. | No |
| Render | Static sites free. Free web services get 750 instance hours a month. 5 GB of bandwidth on the Hobby workspace. | Free web services sleep after 15 minutes without traffic and take about a minute to wake. Free Postgres expires after 30 days. | Starter instance, $7 a month (512 MB RAM), always on. | Yes |
| Railway | 30-day trial with $5 of credit, then $1 of credit a month. 1 project, 0.5 GB RAM per service. | After the trial, $1 a month runs very little. Egress is $0.05 per GB. | Hobby, $5 a month minimum, with $5 of usage included. Builds are free. | Yes |
| Firebase Hosting | Spark plan: 10 GB of storage and 10 GB of transfer a month (the pricing page shows it as 360 MB a day). Custom domain and SSL included. | Go over the transfer limit and your site is disabled until next month. Classic Hosting serves static files only. | Blaze, pay as you go: $0.026 per GB stored and $0.15 per GB transferred over the free amounts. | Only with App Hosting, which needs a billing account |
Prices in US dollars a month, before tax. "Runs server code" matters for Lovable apps created from May 13, 2026, which use TanStack Start. Older Lovable apps build to plain static files that any of these hosts can serve.
Or keep it on the builder's own hosting
| Builder | Free hosting | Catch on free | First paid tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lovable | Publishing to a lovable.app address is free on every plan (5 lovable.app domains on Free). Your plan doesn't cap visitors or bandwidth. | On Free, newer apps are limited to 1,000 server requests per project every 10 seconds. A Free project can be unpublished after 12 months with no visits or owner logins. The backend uses credits as it runs. | Pro, $25 a month: custom domains and no Lovable badge. |
| Bolt.new | Publishing to a .bolt.host address: 10 GB of bandwidth and 333,333 requests a month, shared across all your sites. | Hard limit: the site goes offline until the next cycle. A Made in Bolt badge is shown. No custom domain. | Pro, $25 a month: 30 GB and 1 million requests, pay as you go above that up to a cap you set, custom domains. |
| Replit | Starter: 1 free published app. | The free app goes down after 30 days (you can publish it again) and shows a Made with Replit badge. | Core, $20 a month. Hosting comes out of your monthly credits: Autoscale is $2 a month plus usage, static sites $0.05 per GB, always-on VMs from $15 a month. |
| v0 | Every plan, including Free, deploys your app to Vercel. | You're on Vercel's rules, so a free Hobby deploy is for non-commercial use only. | v0 Plus is $30 per user a month for building. Hosting a business app needs Vercel Pro, $20 a month. |
| Base44 | Every app is live on a free myapp.base44.app address. Up to 5 apps on Free. | Base44 doesn't publish bandwidth or request limits for published apps. Your data, login and backend run on Base44. | Starter, $20 a month ($16 billed yearly): custom domain. GitHub two-way sync needs Builder ($50, or $40 yearly). |
Builder hosting is the least work: you publish from the editor and keep building. Moving out is mostly about a free custom domain, more traffic, or not paying for a builder plan you no longer use. Building prices and credits are on each tool page: Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit, v0 and Base44.
Best pick for your app
A static site or an older Lovable app (React + Vite)
Cloudflare Pages. Static files are served free with no request cap, and you get 500 builds a month and custom domains. Netlify is the runner-up: it's just as easy, and the free plan has hard limits, so it can never bill you, but each deploy uses 15 of your 300 credits.
A full-stack app on Supabase (newer Lovable apps, Bolt with Supabase)
Netlify. It runs TanStack Start, the framework newer Lovable apps use, and Bolt can publish to it directly. Start free, then move to Personal at $9 a month when traffic grows. If you'd rather pay the least at scale, Cloudflare Workers Paid is $5 a month. Your Supabase project stays where it is, and a free one pauses after 1 week without activity.
A real backend that must stay on (a Node server, websockets, background jobs)
Render Starter at $7 a month. It's a flat price for an always-on server, and the Hobby workspace itself is free. Railway Hobby ($5 minimum, $5 of usage included) costs less if your app is small and quiet. Avoid free web services here: Render's free tier sleeps after 15 minutes.
Check which kind of Lovable app you have
Lovable's docs say apps created from May 13, 2026 use TanStack Start, which runs code on the server. Older apps use React + Vite and build to static files. That decides your options: a static app runs anywhere, including GitHub Pages, while a TanStack Start app needs a host that runs server code, like Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, Render or Railway. Not sure? Open package.json in your GitHub repo. If it lists @tanstack/react-start, it's a TanStack Start app. If not, it's an older static app.
Move a Lovable app to Netlify through GitHub
- Connect GitHub in Lovable. Git sync works on every Lovable plan and syncs both ways, so you can keep building in Lovable after you move.
- Import the repo in Netlify. Add a new project and pick your repo from GitHub.
- Set the build. For an older React + Vite app, the build command is
npm run buildand the publish folder isdist. For a TanStack Start app, follow the Netlify section of TanStack Start's hosting guide, which uses Netlify's TanStack Start plugin. - Fix page refreshes (static apps only). Add a file named
_redirectsin thepublicfolder with one line:/* /index.html 200. - Add your environment variables. Copy the ones your app uses into Netlify. Lovable's docs say to set environment variables, server secrets and sign-in redirect URLs on the new host.
- Update sign-in redirects. If your app uses Supabase sign-in, add your new Netlify address and your domain on Supabase's URL Configuration page.
- Connect your domain. Custom domains with SSL are included on Netlify's free plan.
- Watch your deploys. Every change Lovable pushes to GitHub can trigger a production deploy, and on Netlify's free plan each one costs 15 of your 300 monthly credits.
Move a Lovable app to Cloudflare through GitHub
- Connect GitHub in Lovable, the same as above.
- Create a Pages project in Cloudflare and connect it to your GitHub repo.
- Set the build. For an older React + Vite app, use
npm run buildand thedistfolder. You don't need a redirect file: when there's no top-level404.html, Pages treats the project as a single-page app. For a TanStack Start app, deploy to Cloudflare Workers with the Cloudflare Vite plugin, following TanStack Start's hosting guide. - Add your environment variables and update your Supabase redirect URLs, the same as on Netlify.
- Connect your domain. The free plan allows up to 100 custom domains per Pages project.
Moving a Bolt, v0, Replit or Base44 app
- Bolt.new: Bolt can publish new projects to Netlify instead of Bolt hosting, or you can connect GitHub, or download the project and drag it into Netlify's manual deploy.
- v0: v0 already deploys to Vercel. Sync it to GitHub (it's on the Free plan) if you want to host somewhere else.
- Replit: you can keep publishing on Replit, where hosting comes out of your monthly credits. Replit's free app goes down after 30 days.
- Base44: your data, login and backend run on Base44, and GitHub two-way sync needs the Builder plan. We didn't find an official Base44 guide for hosting the frontend on another provider, so the simplest path is Base44's own hosting with a custom domain on Starter.
FAQ
Can I host a Lovable app for free?
Yes. Publishing to a lovable.app address is free on every Lovable plan. To use your own domain without paying Lovable, turn on GitHub sync (it works on all plans) and deploy the repo on Netlify's or Cloudflare's free plan. Both include custom domains with SSL.
Do I need a paid Lovable or Bolt plan for a custom domain?
On their own hosting, yes. Custom domains need Lovable Pro or Bolt Pro, both $25 a month. If you host the code somewhere else, like Netlify or Cloudflare, you can connect a domain on their free plans instead.
Can I use Vercel's free plan for a business?
No. Vercel says its Hobby plan is for non-commercial, personal use only. A business app needs Pro, which is $20 a month and includes $20 of usage. This also applies to apps you deploy from v0, since v0 deploys to Vercel.
Does my Supabase backend move when I move the frontend?
No. The frontend moves to the new host and keeps calling the same Supabase project, or the same Lovable built-in backend (Lovable Cloud). You need to add your environment variables on the new host and add the new address to your sign-in redirect URLs. Free Supabase projects pause after 1 week of inactivity, with a limit of 2 active projects.
Why do my pages show a 404 after I move my app?
Older Lovable and Bolt apps are single-page apps, so the host has to send every path to index.html. On Netlify, add a _redirects file with the line /* /index.html 200. Cloudflare Pages does this automatically if your project has no top-level 404.html file.
What happens when I go over a free limit?
It depends on the host. Netlify pauses every project on the account until next month. A Bolt site goes offline until the next cycle. Vercel makes you wait 30 days, Firebase disables the site until next month, and Render suspends free services for the rest of the month. GitHub may stop serving the site or email you about it.
Can I put a Lovable app on GitHub Pages?
Only an older Lovable app (React + Vite), because GitHub Pages serves static files only. Apps created in Lovable from May 13, 2026 run server code. GitHub Pages also isn't allowed for an online business or SaaS, and on GitHub Free it needs a public repo.
